What we collect
For each gift we record the amount, currency, category, campaign, branch, payment channel and status, plus any name, email, phone number or note the giver chooses to provide. Church accounts also store contact and organisation details.
What we never collect
Cheerfully never receives or stores card numbers, mobile money PINs, CVVs or bank credentials. Those are handled entirely by the licensed payment provider.
How we use data
To process gifts, issue receipts, produce reporting for the receiving church, prevent fraud and meet legal or accounting obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Who can see your gift
The receiving church's authorised team can see gifts made to that church. Other churches cannot. Receipt pages are reachable only through an unguessable reference.
Retention and your rights
Transaction records are retained for accounting and audit purposes. You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal details by contacting hello@cheerfully.app.
