How do members give with Cheerfully?

Members open your church giving link — or scan your giving QR code — choose a category or campaign, enter an amount and pay with mobile money, card, bank or USSD. They get a digital receipt straight away.

Which payment methods are supported?

Mobile money (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo), Visa and Mastercard, bank transfer and USSD, through our payment partner Paystack. Available methods depend on what your provider has enabled for your church.

Question 3

How quickly does money reach the church account?

Accepted Answer

Gifts settle to your church bank or mobile money account on your provider's normal settlement cycle, typically the next working day in Ghana. Every settlement is tracked against the original gift in your dashboard.

Who pays the transaction fees?

You choose. Fees can be absorbed by the church, added on for the giver to cover, or shared. The giving page always shows the giver exactly what they will be charged.

Do givers need an account?

Accepted Answer

No. Giving takes seconds with no sign-up. Name, email and phone are optional and only used to send a receipt and to help your finance team with reconciliation.

How do we know a gift really succeeded?

Every gift is confirmed by verifying the reference directly with the payment provider, and the same reference appears on the giver's receipt and in your dashboard. Failed and abandoned attempts are shown separately so totals stay accurate.

Can we track campaigns and multiple branches?

Yes. Create giving categories, fundraising campaigns with targets, and branches. Each gift is tagged so you can see totals by category, campaign and branch.

How do we get our own QR codes?

Your giving page and every campaign page includes a ready-to-use QR code you can download as an image for bulletins, banners and screens.

Is our data safe?

Card details and PINs never touch Cheerfully — payments happen on the provider's secure checkout. Church data is protected per-church, so only your team can see your giving records.
